Twelve Days of Sweets- Day 5

Day 5 has arrived! And it's on time to boot! Thanks for hanging in there with me. It has been crazy around here!

Today's sweet would feel right at home with a big scoop of ice cream. You could use them layered in a fancy napoleon for your next dinner party. Today we are making........

Lace Cookies!

These delicate little delights are more candy than cookie, but they are still just as yummy!

In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup. Bring to a boil.

Mix together the flour and pecans.

Remove pan from heat and allow to cool just slightly. Mix in the flour and pecans a 1/2 cup at a time.

Remove the dough from the pan onto waxed paper.

While the dough is still warm and pliable, use a teaspoon to measure out dough and roll into balls.

Place on a pan and bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the edges start to brown. Allow to cool and enjoy!

This recipe is straight from the Martha Stewart website. You can find the recipe here and print it out if you would like.
