Yeah, that's right. I am here, typing a completely meaningless post about.....well, nothing. I have been so busy getting everything ready to sale that I have not had time to do anything. I have not done any baking at all....I am going through withdrawls at this point. Maybe next week, after the sale, after MIL goes back to Dallas, while the #1 and #2 are in school, I can get back into a routine.
HA!! Not likely! This month is packed full of things to keep me away from the oven. Next week is Webelos Woods for #1. The following week is the pack camp. That weekend MIL will return, plus FIL will be coming in off the road to spend a few days with us. After that, #4 will turn 1(OMG I can't believe a year has passed already!) The All Hallow's Eve, and the kiddies trick or treating. Plus, throw in the weekly den meetings for Cub Scouts, the monthly committee meeting for Cub Scouts....that is 11 days that I have something to do with the pack, not to mention all the work I do at home for the pack as well. If I am lucky I will have about 10 days that I don't have anything that I have to do or anywhere I have to go. And who says being a housewife is easy!? Ha! You take my place for a week and see who is begging to switch back! OK it would probably be me, because I would miss the kids too much and I would have an uncontrollable urge to bake something immediately....but I wouldn't want it any other way I suppose....somewhere close to a beach would be nice though....not likely, but nice.
Since this is the month that all the hungry little goblins come out, I think I will post some of my favorite Halloween recipes.....Sleep with one eye open, because you will never know when...or what might slither out of my cookbook!
